Irony

Rama and Sita are considered to be the ideal couple in Hindu mythology, but we all know about the hardships they had to endure. They did not "Happily live ever after". Is it becos they remanined true to one another always? I think I'm missing something.

its called screenplay...

they had to undergo "hardships" for the story to have something in it to become a hit.

I've seen ideal couples... 55 years into marriage and still happily living... not a single fight/hard feelings/regrets...

Yup i agree. I just met a gentleman who described a splendid 40 yrs he spent with his wife, who passed away recently. She had cancer the last 3 yrs of her life, and he took amazing care of her. He said to us, "A sick wife is better than no wife" !!
